Advanced Lesson, week 1
Sig Tag Assignment

I found the directions a bit confusing, jumping back and forth from Animation Shop to PSP, but learned a new technique. *grins* I think the technique I used prior to this, was faster, however!

Beginner's Lesson

Watercolors, self portrait
The instructions for the watercolor looked so interesting, I decided to give it a try - and am quite pleased with the results! I did my own thing as well as followed the tutorial . . . I duplicated the finished image and added one of the Jasc preset lighting effects (lamp), then lowered the opacity of that level to 75 and merged. And it 'might' look like it, but I'm really not as narcissistic as the watercolor image makes me appear to be! *grins*

Intermediate Lesson

I found this little guy in last month's Intermediate Lesson's and just had to make him! Those soulful eyes brought to mind Patsy Cline's memorable song, "I'm Sorry." He's just too adorable!

And the Sinedot Elegant Bottle - very pretty and easy to make. I chose to colorize mine instead of leaving it gold, as well as add the background from (my old) page and then add a small - 2 pixel - transparent border. The shapes had shadows applied, so I felt it didn't quite look right, on a normal transparent background.

Advanced Lesson, week 2
Sig Tag Assignment

Although a bit time consuming, I am pleased with this blooming rose! My only problem with the entire tutorial, is when I launched Animation Shop and opened my rose.psp file, it did not open as the 11 frames as the instructions said it would - I had to go back (after checking and rechecking my settings, mind you! *grins*) and save each section individually.

Reverse Text example
This technique is quite similar to how I had been creating text on a curve - but with considerably less steps! Very easy and actually quite fun (as opposed to my 'usual' stressful way! *laughs*)
