This Wolf Spirit Guide was graciously
presented
to me, by Absinth, after I left a message on her beautiful page,
Seeker of the Heart. I proudly ask all to visit this beautiful page,
and learn more about Native Indian beliefs.
A spirit
guide is a spiritual being that lives in the spiritual world, but who
also becomes attached to humans, and is available to them as their helper
and support. People are said to become strong and powerful, when they
have (and call upon) spirit power. Every living thing (human, animal,
plant, rock) is equal in creation . . . and all living things have a
spirit. The spirits are connected to form a powerful spiritual world,
and may be harnessed to give One who asks, a range of spiritual healing.
Everyone of Us, has
access to the spiritual world, through dreams and visions. The Native
Americans are known to live in a deeply spiritual world. They honor
Mother Earth because She governs all of life. . . living things come
from Her, are nourished by Her, and pass into Her when they die. They
honor spirits - animal, plant or weather conditions (ex. wind) - as
powerful energy energies. . . .
This page will be
changing and evolving, as I seek and gain more knowledge. I am currently
studying "White Eagle Medicine Wheel", by Wa-Na-Nee-Che. This instructs
on the use of tarot. I plan to place a sample reading/spread, as I become
more proficient. Another form of My studies, is the "Spirit Stones",
with instruction by Growling Bear.
I discovered
a beautiful, informative page about a year and a half ago, concerning
wolves, Native Indians and Birth Totems. Unfortunately, as of today's
date (July 19, 2000) this page no longer exists. However, while
there, I discovered that my favorite animal, the one I have always
been drawn to -- the Wolf -- is also my Birth Totem. Following is the
information, from that web site.
People born under
the sign of the Wolf are sensitive and intuitive. They have an ability
to rise up in both mind and spirit to the clear heights of knowledge
and understanding. Like the wolf, they need clearly defined territory,
at home, at work or within a relationship. They are easily upset when
their "space" has been intruded upon without invitation.
They also find it
difficult to deal with emotional issues and often feel vulnerable. Staying
instead on the brink of caution and ready. This unfortunately affects
the way they make decisions, especially about relationships. Thus the
strength of the wolf is called upon here. To learn the lesson as guardian
while still moving with the flow of life easily and effortlessly.
Wolf people look for
permanence in a relationship, mating for life as their animal counter
part does. When a Wolf person is forced to undergo a time of change
from a partner, they often feel over whelmed and totally devastated.
Often causing long lasting affects that can create many emotional problems
later in life. Again, the strength of the animal wolf is called upon.
Learning how to move through the flow of life and realizing death is
merely another stage of the play. Whether it be a real physical death,
or merely the death of a relationship, change is necessary for growth
and balance within ones life.
Their ability with
thought and "hunting" make wolf people natural researchers. Always looking
for information in philosophy and religion to give meaning and purpose
to life. This ability also makes them wonderful parents and teachers
of children. They often find the right words, the right way and the
right moment to soften the blow of bad news for child and adult alike.
