Hercules

As I mentioned earlier this morning, I was unable to sleep so put Hercules on. It has a 6.1 rating via IMDB.com; I liked it. Didn’t fall asleep to it as I had intended, it hooked me. I liked the silly humor running throughout, similar to the type seen in Johnson’s The Rundown. He’s not afraid to look silly on the screen and I appreciate that in an actor!

John Hurt was his usual awesome self portraying Lord Cotys, and a lot of the silly humor came from some one-liner’s delivered by Rufus Sewell in his portrayal of Autolycus [especially as he predicted his own death]. Ian McShane gave his normal terrific portrayal of Amphiaraus; Joseph Fiennes was easily recognizable [by me, at least] playing the part of King Eurystheus. Just like older brother Ralph Fiennes, he has an intensity that transcends the screen which can be heard in terrific voice command and seen in facial movements and intense stare. Both of these actors are able to send out a creepy level of malice [in a good way, they are unbelievable actors!] similar to Anthony Hopkins.

Ack, gotta run, have things to do so I am so outtie….
