S got the job!!! Better pay then IBM had him at, downside is – no benefits for 3 months. But, he’s a very healthy guy, so that shouldn’t be a problem. My check finally showed up, too. Then, the damn bank (I HATE Bank of America!) wouldn’t cash the check (I needed cash to pay the rent) They wanted to hold the check for 5 days – even tho my Nov check is in the bank – because, get this… they didn’t “know” the bank it was drawn on. Damn morons! It’s a government check! I guess they thought the state of Ohio might go bankrupt…. So, I withdrew all of my money. I’m sick of that bank. They’ve made so many errors with my account – then charge ME for them!
Obviously, I’ve pulled an all-nighter again, although S was on my puter and I watched TV. Didn’t think I’d have a chance to get on tonight, at all, and Gilligan’s Island was NOT going to keep me awake. So I came in to goto bed, and within 5 min’s, S got off my puter. So, I got up and trained my aliens… sheesh, all of this time away from them, not having steady training, they’re both growing very weak and loosing most battles they fight.
I re-subscribed to LOTH and DD egroups today, although I’m not ready to compete since I’m wanting to make some really big changes to my domain. But, with S starting work on Monday, I’ll be able to get some of the design work done in the daytime now. And, since he’s positive it’s my Win98 screwing up and not the motherboard, I bought the tape back-up drive today, but still need to buy the actual tapes. Then he’ll be able to make the complete back-up, and scrub/re-install Win98. Like I already told Sonja_Bleu, my puter will be down for 1 day for him to do all that to it.
