Hmm, 11 days since I last posted… was it deliberate? Possibly… so, first… check came from Mom – she made it out to my married name, which I haven’t used in over 4 years… she’s also one who is very big on lecturing me, not to talk or think about my ex, as that’ll give him power, a connection to me… I keep him out of my thoughts, for the most part – unless something or someone tosses some kind of reminder at me — meaning, Mom has brought him up in at least every other phone conversation, and now email, too! Honestly, I resent the reminders, having him “tossed” in my face like this, and I abhorr how she is using him as a reference point…
PERS – assholes, MAILED my damn check to Connecticut, of all places! Why? Because they’re fucking morons, is why! Now, I have to have a formal stop payment placed on the check, and fill out a form “requesting” a new check be issued… all this shit arrived in Fri & Sat’s mail – now I need to fill it out and fax it to them, as well as snail-mail it back. One wee little issue (do they think I’m the stupid one here?!?) is #4 on this form, states “I will be responsible for the amount, and reimburse PERS for said amount, if the original warrant is either cashed, or never found.” I have NO clue where they mailed my check, in CT, or WHY they did so — and they expect ME to pay them back, for their own fuck-up? Yeah, right…. I’ll pen in, before it’s notarized – I will be responsible for said amount and warrant, ONLY if cashed by myself or on my behalf, per my request. That “should” cover me, if anyone stole the check and attempts to cash it… but I am NOT being responsible for PERS screw up. Period.
Xerox – doubt S got that job, waiting to hear from Compaq – they said they’d let him know Tues or Wed of this week. So wait and see – although he felt real good about the interview…
